The Johnstown Milliken Early Childhood Council brings you the Children's Festival!!

Very simply put, the purpose of the Children's festival is to connect families with young children to resources in our community in a fun way. It provides organizations, service providers and businesses an avenue for informing families about themselves. We welcome all contributions.

A Message From Our President

Hello! My name is Jody Urias and I am a Colorado Preschool Project Parent and Kindergarten teacher at Milliken Elementary School and now President of the Johnstown/Milliken Early Childhood Council. The council is made up of directors from area preschools, teachers, parents, United Way representatives, district resource officer, and hopefully soon, principals, area elementary school PTO reps, and local doctors! The goal of the council is to promote early childhood education and kindergarten readiness. Our communities have a wealth of resources available to families that are not being utilized. We want families to be aware of these and with your help and knowledge we can greater meet families’ needs.

We held our first meeting in September. This year we will be discussing hosting a Pre K-2nd grade Literacy Carnival for our families in the Milliken/Johnstown area and our annual Children's Festival. Each meeting we also hear updates from area preschools. I really hope you will be able to make it to the next meeting (see calendar). With your help, we believe we can have a greater impact in the Milliken/Johnstown areas. Thanks for taking the time to read this and hopefully we will see you on soon!
